Metal Spinning
Metal Spinning is the process by which flat metal blanks are shaped into various forms. During the spinning process, a flat metal blank is secured in front of a tooled pattern block on a lathe. Rollers are pressed on the blank as it spins and forms the shape around the pattern block. This pattern block, also referred to as tooling, is generally made from hard wood or steel.
